Dr. Douglas E. Henley began his association with the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) in 2000 and has since been a strong advocate for family medicine and patient-centered care. He has served on numerous committees and commissions, including the Board of Directors of the AAFP Foundation and the Patient-Centered Primary Care Collaborative. Dr. Henley is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and has been a member of the AAFP since 1973. His leadership roles and contributions to the medical profession have been recognized with the Medical Executive Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Medical Association.
